Membership Terms & Conditions
Founded in 2001, Century Club is a hidden gem in the heart of Soho, a hub for the creative and entrepreneurial minded. Spread across five floors, members and their guests enjoy access to two restaurants, five bars, four private meeting rooms and three roof terraces with magnificent views over London, a weekly roster of members’ events, plus reciprocal access to nearly forty clubs worldwide.
Membership Categories:
All memberships consist of an initial 12 month commitment, after which they convert to a rolling Annual contract. The joining fee and subscription rates for all categories of membership are subject to change from time-to-time at the discretion of Century Club.
There are four categories of membership:
Annual Membership
All Annual Memberships allow exclusive access to the club. Annual Members have been approved from applications or proposals. A yearly subscription will be levied and there will be a joining fee.
Under 35s Membership
Our membership for individuals under 35 is non-transferable and will automatically transition to the standard rate when the member celebrates their 35th birthday or at the conclusion of their first year of membership if they turn 35 during that initial 12-month period.
Out of Town Membership
Out of Town Members live and practice their business outside of London for more than 75% of any calendar year. Out of Town Members must be able to demonstrate that they have a permanent address outside London. They must not have either a residential address or a place of business within Greater London. Evidence of the above may be required. A yearly subscription will be levied and there will be a joining fee.
Joint Membership
A joint membership is designed for two individuals who enroll simultaneously. These individuals can be friends, colleagues, or in a partnership.
Corporate Membership
Corporate Memberships are available when four or more individuals from the same organisation join simultaneously. These memberships are issued to the named individuals who apply, rather than to the organisation as a whole.
Maintaining a Corporate membership requires a minimum number of our named individuals to be associated with the Corporate membership records at all times. If the number of individuals falls below this level, the Group membership will be terminated, and the remaining members will be offered the opportunity to join the Club as individuals. They will be charged at their applicable individual rate, with any relevant joining fee applied.
Corporate memberships can be transferred between individuals of the same organisation. Notice must be provided to the Century Club in writing regarding the proposed transfer, and a new application will need to be submitted. There is a £50 admin transfer fee applicable to transfer membership to a new employee. It is the responsibility of the organisation to inform their employees of any changes to their Corporate membership.
Please enquire by contacting the Membership Manager for more details.
Application Process:
All applicants must be over 18.
- Potential Members must fill in the online application form in full.
- The application will be reviewed by the Century Club committee on a nominated date. It is helpful for candidates to have a proposer who is an existing member and priority will be given to an application made with a proposer.
3. The prospective member will then be contacted by the Head of Membership and an informal meeting will be arranged and a tour of the club will take place.
4. If an application is approved, the applicant will receive notification at the conclusion of the committee meeting. The joining fee and initial membership subscription must be paid in full using a credit or debit card. Subsequent subscriptions will be automatically collected selected payment method.
5. New members will receive access to the Century App, where their digital membership card can be accessed. All information regarding members’ events and benefits can be found within the app.
6. Should the membership list be closed at the time, due to the Club reaching full capacity, the applicant will be placed on the waiting list.
7. No reason will be given for the refusal of an application.
8. The committee has full discretion on who is eligible to be a member.
Membership payments
A joining fee and the initial membership subscription must be paid in full using a credit or debit card. Subsequent subscriptions will be automatically collected by chosen payment method.
Once membership is renewed for another year – no refunds are possible.
Annual subscriptions may be subject to increases, but any such increase will require a one-month notice period.
Following the initial 12 months of a member’s membership, their membership will continue on an annual rolling contract. Membership may be temporarily suspended if payments are not received promptly. Century Club reserves the right to decide whether or not to extend a member’s membership after their initial 12-month period, and it is not obligated to provide a reason for its decision. Membership may also be terminated as outlined in other sections of these Rules.
Resignation
Any member wishing to resign must do so in writing or via email ONE MONTH prior to their membership expiry to Century Club’s membership team. Century Club will give notice in writing or via email of termination of any members’ membership. Where membership is terminated by way of resignation, expiry or other form of termination, previously paid membership fees will not be refunded to the member. Please note that the Joining Fee is non-refundable in all cases.
After the initial 12 months of membership, subscription renewals are automatic, based on an annual rolling contract until it’s stopped with sufficient notice in writing.
Access
Members will need their digital membership cards with them at all times. These can be easily accessed by downloading them from the Century app. For safekeeping, they can be securely stored in an Apple Wallet or a similar digital wallet.
